Share your Testimony

A simple way to share the love of Jesus with others is to simply tell another person how to came to know Jesus. You want to include three things. What life was like before Christ, how you got saved and what difference has it made in your life now. It may help to write it out or practice sharing with someone before sharing with an unbeliever.

Have you had an opportunity to share Christ with someone? How did it go? Was it well received  or not? I would love for us to share other ideas and experiences about this.

If you would like prayer for someone to come to know Jesus, please list their name on our prayer request page. Prayer works! Most likely, someone prayed for your salvation as well! List names HERE.

We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of our Testimony. Go make disciples!

  1. I was raised by a single mom. My childhood days were similar with any other child my age, except that I often received insults and mock from my brother and sister. They used to call me abstract, an ugly painting, and they were indifferent. It was very hard for them to accept that my mom had a child with another man. I grew up trying to please people because I wanted to be accepted. The things that were said to me when I was young hit home, and birthed insecurities. I was so weak and I didn’t fight back because I thought everything they told me was true. Its hard to grow up around people who don’t accept you. It’s like facing consequences for something you didn’t even do.

Even after I accepted Christ, I still didn’t fully allow Him to be in control of my life. I was longing for something that could satisfy my needs. I was longing for family. I was longing for a companion. I’ve been in and out of various relationships. I’ve dated unbelievers who didn’t do anything, but move me further away from God. I’ve been cheated on, lied to, and left out.

Yet, one day I found myself crying. I was tired of the emptiness and heaviness in my heart. I prayed to God, and asked Him, “Why?” I opened the Bible and it lead me to Psalm 37:4, which says, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” I was looking for an answer everywhere. I went different places, meeting people, doing things that can’t satisfy the hunger of my soul. I forgot to look up and see my first love. After that, I decided to go back and serve my first love again. I didn’t make a mistake doing so. God surely blessed me abundantly.

He blessed me with His forgiveness. he even blessed me with a wonderful Godly man, and we look towards marriage. Like me, He cares about you too. He loves you and He wants to know you. Don’t let anyone, nor anything discourage you. God is bigger than all of that. God loves you so much, that He doesn’t want you to carry all the burdens alone. He wants to give you rest.

    1 Peter 5:7
“Give all your worries and cares to God,
    for he cares about you.”

    • That is a beautiful testimony sis! Thanks so much for your transparency. To be able to offer forgiveness is most definitey a blessing. So is being forgiven! I love how you mentioned going back to your first love. Wow, so true. Thanks Genalyn!
